The U.S. Agency for International Development has awarded $5,976,644 Cuba grants for democracy-promotion work so far in 2018, spending records show.
Recipients include the Bacardí Family Foundation, Canyon Communications LLC, Center for a Free Cuba, Global Rule of Law & Liberty Legal Defense Fund (renamed Global Liberty Alliance), Grupo de Apoyo a la Democracia and Freedom House.
The grants run from Oct. 1, 2018 to Sept. 30, 2020.
